Note:
This Award enabled Shadrack HLALELE to further his studies at the Düsseldorf Academy, Düsseldorf, under Joseph Beuys during 1981 to December 1982. The granting of this award misfired however, Hlalele only came back in early 1986, a broken man, not being able to carry on as an artist.
